Tadej Glažar and SADAR + VUGA Architects at the international architecture symposium Montenegro Days of Oris
The company's client base reflects the diversity of its built and project experience, encompassing national and private arts bodies as well as multinationals. Its most acknowledged buildings include the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) in Ljubljana, which received the Piranesi Award in 1999. Other projects have included the central part of the National Gallery of Slovenia (2001), residential buildings, the Trnovski Pristan condominium and Gradaška apartment building in Ljubljana and the Mercator Shopping Centre in Nova Gorica. Its proposal for the Sheffield Film Festival Centre was shortlisted in 2007.
Jurij Sadar graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana in 1987 and subsequently worked there from 1993-1997 as Assistant Professor. His design for the Kotnikova apartment building won the Piranesi Award in 1992. Boštjan Vuga graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana in 1982 and undertook postgraduate studies at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. He subsequently received the Student Plečnik Award in Ljubljana in 1992. He is one of the founders of OCEAN, a trans-national network of architects, urban planners and designers.
