That is because the core of the collective has up until 2014 been heading [[Bikofe]], a cult and now closed bar that served as a meeting place for many artists and creative workers of the younger generation. Catering to a somewhat hip clientèle, the bar also had regular clubbing and concert evenings, staging an international mix of very varied musical acts. |

Stiropor also acts as a label. Its first release, a double vinyl LP that showcased a choice selection of the Slovenian beats scene protagonists, accompanied the first edition of the festival. Besides compilations like this, they also started releasing mixtapes ‐ recorded on cassettes.
It could also be mentioned that, due to Bikofe being the node for many a visual artist and designer, Stiropor promotional materials and releases usually can boast a very imaginative design.
