Piran City Gallery, located on Tartini squeer in Piran, as a rule combines its programme with other venues of coastal Galleries, as well it cooperates with other national and international institutions. In 2009 the exhibition of paintings, gouaches and drawings of Zoran Mušič (1909 - 2005), the great Slovene painter, that marked the centenary of his birth, was prepared in the cooperation with the collector Igor Lah, Cortini Gallery from Venice and the [[Museum of Modern Art Ljubljana]]. The same year Piran City gallery gave the podium to the presentation of [[Riko Art Collection]], showing established Slovene authors, what follows the programme politic of presenting established Slovene artists. The principal gallery of the Obalne galerije - Coastal Galleries network, Piran City Gallery is the most important exhibition spaces on the coast. It plays an important role in presenting modern and contemporary art.
