The TR3 Gallery is a private gallery opened in 2007 by the collectors Mojca and Igor Lah, owner of the Central Eastern Europe Real Estate Fund (CEEREF). Located in one of the twin skyscrapers on the Trg republike square, designed by Edvard Ravnikar in the 1970s, the gallery presents mostly works by renowned international artists, usually ones already included in the collection, such as Tony Cragg, Braco Dimitrijević, Robert Mapplethorpe, Zoran Mušič, Richard Deacon, and Ilya & Emilia Kabakov.

Collection

The Lahs collaborate with Jill Silvermann, the director of Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery in Paris and have formed one of the most ambitious private collections in Slovenia. The TR3 Gallery is not a sales gallery but rather a precursor to a museum of contemporary art that the collectors have planned for the future. The museum will be located by the Kolinska factory complex on Šmartinska street in Ljubljana.

Exhibition space

  • dimensions: 780m² (27m x 29m x 2.6m H) incorporating 22.5 linear metres of wall space
  • installation system: free-standing exhibition screens, sculpture pedestals also available
  • lighting: halogen and florescent lighting system throughout, plus natural light from windows
  • climate control: heating and air-conditioning
