Atelier 2050, the Association for the Promotion and Development of Visual Culture, was established in 2000, though the team has been active since 1992. Today it engages primarily in training programmes, mostly workshops in computing, digital photography and computer graphics, and various workshops for developing arts skills for children, pupils (preparatory courses for academy), students and seniors. In November 2011 the Red Gallery [Rdeča galerija] was opened on Dolenjska street as a new social space focusing on design. The library contains literature on typography, drawing, photography, music composition, etc.

Since its very beginning the Atelier 2050 has also presented electronic and electro-acoustic music; past programmes have included Sampless organised by Januš Aleš Luznar (aka Yanoosh). The programme presented several photography screenings accompanied by electronic music, and 'Last Minute' evenings, prepared in collaboration with DJ Valentino Kanzyani, featuring well-known DJs and electronic music producers such as Simon Digby from Australia and Marko Nastić from Belgrade.
