Four years after establishing Hest Gallery, Maribor, Emil Šarkan opened a new gallery space in Ljubljana in 1993. The programme and artists featured here is much the same as that in Maribor and the gallery presents mostly figurative artworks by older authors.

Close by is the new Hest 35 Gallery, Ljubljana, which was opened to showcase work by younger artists in 2002.
