Gibanje urbane kulture Street Explosion je delovalo med letoma 1999 in 2003. Slonelo je na raznolikem mednarodnem programu; od glasbe, breakdance-a, video animacije, grafitarstva do interierne instalacije in mnogih drugih umetniških izrazov, s katerimi je postavljalo smernice le-teh. Ustanovni člani so te vsebine začeli predstavljati pod imenom Street Explosion - Gibanje za urbano kulturo, ki je pomembno zaznamovalo obdobje, v katerem je obstajalo, pripravili pa so mnogo festivalov, poimenovanih Street Explosion.

Na odru je takrat stala lepa bera izvajalcev: predstavili so se General Woo, Tram 11, Klemen Klemen, Bolesna Brača, Edo Maajka, Murat & Jose in mnogi drugi. Leto kasneje je Street Explosion-ov veliki hip-hop festival potekal v dvorani Kodeljevo v Ljubljani in zasnoval še močnejši program izvajalcev (Masta Ace, Strick, General Woo …) ter prvi mednarodni breakdance battle.

Edo Maajka, Klemen Klemen, General Woo, Bad Copy, Kiša Metaka, Don't Make New People, Yugovinil – raznovrstna druščina zasedb iz širše regije. Prav tako boste na odru lahko slišali mnogo DJ-jev (DJ Dado, DJ Stojk, DJ K pow, Dj Woody bodo izvedli tudi scratch session), floor pa bodo zavzeli tudi breakdancerji (breakdance battle). Na zunanjem odru se bodo predstavili DJ-ji kot so DJ Borka (rx:tx, Good Foot), DJ Bakto in DJ Bajo.

Set up in the late-nineties, Street Explosion used to be a conglomerate of people active in the so-called urban culture. Joining hip hop, breakdance, graffiti and video artists and enthusiasts, this urban movement had its first festival emanation in 1999. Musicians both from Slovenia as well as abroad were invited to perform alongside other Street modes of expression, and these Street Explosion events were being held at various venues until 2003.
