Ljubljana's main Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is situated in the centre of the city, close to Prešeren Square. It is one of four Tourist Information Centres (TICs) run by the Ljubljana Tourist Board.

Apart from the city map and numerous tourism publications which are available free of charge, it offers basic information on local transport, accommodation and other services for visitors to Ljubljana, including car hire, guided tours of Ljubljana by boat, walking tours of Ljubljana, tourist train rides, hot air balloon rides and guided cycling tours of the city (all discounted with the Ljubljana Card).

This TIC also houses a computerised ticketing office called the Ticketing Centre (Prodaja vstopnic), which offers tickets for cultural, entertainment, sports and other events taking place in Ljubljana and elsewhere in Slovenia. The ticketing office is the result of collaboration between the Ljubljana Tourist Board, the information engineering company Programski atelje A&Z and the company Siti Broker (http://www.esiti.com), which specialises in electronic ticketing.
