Discography and artists
To date the Folk Slovenia Cultural Society has published 3 CD-compilations: Modern Folk Music in Slovenia I and Modern Folk Music in Slovenia II and Al' že spiš? ali Kako uspavamo v Sloveniji [Are You Sleeping? Lullabies in Slovenia].
Some musicians – members of the society – are loyal to the characteristics of their region of origin (such as, for example, Kurja koža from Styria, La Zonta from Northern Istria, Marko banda from Prekmurje, Tomaž Podobnikar from Carniola and Ljoba Jenče from the Notranjska region), whilst other musicians draw inspiration from other parts of Slovenia, for example, Tolovaj Mataj, who gains his inspiration from Rezija, Istria, Carniola, and Bela Krajina, and the female vocal group Katice, who are inspired by folk music from Rezija and Porabje. Other musicians featured are Bogdana Herman, Istrianski Mužikanti and Trutamora Slovenica.
