Revision as of 14:24, 30 July 2010
According to Radiometrija/Media Pool, Slovenia's most listened-to national public radio stations in 2006 were Second Channel - VAL202 with a 13 per cent audience share, followed by First Channel - A1 (RA SLO 1) with an 11 per cent audience share.
Radio Slovenia comprises the following editorial units: music programmes, originally-produced programmes, Slovenes in the world, documentary programmes, educational programmes, children and youth programmes, morning and night programmes and classical music programmes. Arts and culture programmes are provided by all three channels, which offer information and news on the latest events on the domestic and European cultural scene. Original radio drama productions for adults and children, as well as short and amusing docudramas, literary evenings and nocturnes also feature in the schedules.
Radio Slovenia participates in the activities and exchanges of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Within the Millennium European Radio Days programme the online electronic encyclopedia was created in Slovene, English and Italian, featuring a short history of Radio Slovenia.
RTV Slovenia encompasses several studios where the national radio programmes are recorded and performed live. Radio Slovenia runs also two regional radio stations, Radio Koper-Capodistria and Radio Maribor, which also run programmes for the Italian and Hungarian minorities and Radio Slovenia's international service Radio Si.
