International cooperation
The Academy of Design organises a number of workshops, guest lectures of professors from foreign partner institutions as well as student and staff exchange.
The Academy has participated in the European Lifelong Learning Programme within the Erasmus programme, since 2006, and collaborates with partner institutions from Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and United Kingdom. In line with the Erasmus University Charter up 12 students of the Academy have studied abroad, while 8 students have done their training programme in different EU countries up to 2010. On the other hand 12 members of Ljubljana teaching staff have taught abroad and 5 administrative employees have received additional training at foreign partner institutions.
Since 2008 the Academy of Design has participated in international events with institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, Scotland, Serbia, Switzerland and Russia. The academy is a member of several international education groups and is currently in the process of establishing one of its own, the A.L.I.C.E. (Architecture Landscape Interiors Culture) programme.
