It presents the last old city cinema hall in which it is possible to project 35mm films with a screen ratio of 11m x 5m. The cinema was a member of the Artkino mreža, which distributed selected high-quality films around Slovenia, however it was closed for some years, when it was one of the venues of the [[DokMa International Film Festival]]. In May 2010 Kino Udarnik was reopened as a regular cinema hall with a versatile programme and run by an enthusiastic team of a newly established NGO Udarnik Maribor, a city art centre. |
