Book sales and campaigns
Since 2008 the bookshop is an independent organisational unit, which cooperates with the Academic Publishing Division of the Faculty of Arts in order to realise and organise book sales. Together with the Academic Publishing Division, it organises promotional campaigns – press conferences and fairs – with which it importantly contributes to the promotion and recognition of the scientific and pedagogical work of the academic staff of the Faculty of Arts.
International cooperation
The bookshop is not only limited to its primary activities but is also a venue for creative meetings and various cultural events with guests from Slovenia and abroad. The literature events, recitals, debate clubs, exhibitions, etc., have been organised within the series of events entitled the Word Station [Besedna postaja] and aired via the VideoLectures.Net channel.
The Bookshop was also the initiator of the organisation of an all-Slovene academic book fair Liber.ac, which was held for the first time in 2010 when Ljubljana was the host city of the World Book Capital.
