The DANS Arhitekti architectural studio was founded in 2004 by Miha Dešman, Katarina Pirkmajer Dešman, Eva Fišer Berlot, Rok Bogataj, and Vlatka Ljubanović.


Architects Katarina Pirkmajer and Miha Dešman previously worked at the Atelje Dešman-Pirkmajer studio. Both studied at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana with Professor Marjan Mušič before undertaking additional studies at the Institute for Urbanism and Architecture in Venice. They are members of the DESSA Architecture Centre and Association and have also been engaged as independent architects. Their most prominent projects include plans for schools, public and cultural buildings in Ljubljana and surrounding areas, for which they have won several awards. Miha Dešman has also been engaged in graphic design (book design) and writes about architecture in his capacity as Editor in Chief of the magazine Architects' Bulletin (ab). He is actively engaged in the work of the Architects' Society of Ljubljana (DAL) and the Union of Slovene Architects' Societies.
