Programme
On the sculpture oriented association operates on two locations in Ljubljana. It runs the open-air Gruber Sculpture Gallery in front of the Gruber Palace (the headquarters of the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia), where is featuring annual at least one exhibition lasting several months. In 2009 it presented the project dLAN of Darko Golija from Maribor, where he works also as professor of sculpture at the Faculty of Education, University of Maribor. His colleague from Ljubljana the sculpturer Alen Ožbolt, head of the Department of Sculpture, Academy of Fine Arts and Design, presented his latest works entitled Ensembles – Prostorski rebusi/Kamen na nebu at Gruber Sculpture Gallery in 2008.
The second venue of the Sculpture Association is on Križevniška 2. After the renovation in October 2009 this is the space for presentation of solo and group exhibitions of its members. The very first presentation of the renovated space was saleable oriented and presented graphics, paintings and sculptures created by its members. In March 2010 it exhibited sculptures from the series the Summer [Poletje] of Jiři Bezlaj. It presented also from them published monograph of Bezlaj with texts of Petja Grafenauer, Miklavž Komelj and Janko Rožič.

The Associaltion is official Slovene partner of the Sculpture network preparing in autumn 2010 the the exhibition European Sculpture: Diversity and Differences in Practice in Grugliasco near Torino (Italy), running also parallel to Turin art fair Artissima. Approximately 30 to 35 sculptor members of sculpture network from all over Europe and their small scale sculptures are selected by the jury consisting of Patrizia Bottallo (Curator of Martin Arte Internazionale, Italy), Miranda MacPhail (Curator of Gori collection, Italy), Auke de Vries (sculptor from Netherlands), and the curator of Georg-Kolbe-Museum in Berlin Marc Wellmann. The curatorial responsibility for the exhibition is in hands of Patrizia Bottallo (Curator of Martin Arte Internazionale, Italy) and sculptor Rob Ward from Great Britain.
- National projects
Already since 1996 the Association organises the sculpture exhibition in the Magistrat Gallery. The 14th edition of this event in 2010 (curated by Milček Komelj) will be part of the World Book Capital Ljubljana 2010, so works will feature themes associating with books. The dead line of the call for proposal is in July 2010.
On the national level the Association runs since 2004 the project Grosuplje – Town of sculptures [Grosuplje mesto kipov]. From 2 to 5 sculptures create in 5 days lasting workshop each year creates sculptures for public space of the town. The participants of 2005 were Boštjan Drinovec, Ervin Potočnik, Boštjan Potokar, Jurij Smole, and Alenka Vidrgar; in 2008 Lučka Koščak and Matjaž Rebec sculptured in Grosuplje, 15 km south of Ljubljana.
