Concert promotion
Running concert promotion under the brand Mars Concerts, the company is primarily oriented towards gigs on a somewhat bigger scale. Križanke (its capacities circa 3000 people) and the Stožice Hall (which can hold up to 12.500 visitors) are its preferred venues, with Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture and Cvetličarna being used for medium-sized events. Nevertheless, Mars Music occasionally also sets up some smaller, club-oriented gigs.
Some of the artists that were invited by Mars are Roisin Murphy, Air, Morcheeba, Royksopp, Hugh Laurie & The Copper Bottom Band, Laibach, Gibonni, Jinx, Bajaga, Severina, Morrisey, Prismojeni Profesorji Bluesa, Jovanotti, and Patti Smith. For a time Mars also organised its own festival, called the Mars Festival (2009–2013). Taking place in Ljubljana as well as in Zagreb, it hosted acts like Sigur Rós, Skunk Anansie, Moby, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Edo Maajka, Urban&4, Dan D, Laibach, Elvis Jackson, LeeLooJamais, and so on.
Booking services
Mars also acts as a booking service, enlisting mostly authors coming from the ey-Yugoslavian region. Among them are (or were) Alenka Godec, Tinkara Kovač, Big Foot Mama, Leeloojamais, Plavi Orkestar, Gibonni, Davor Radolfi, Severina, Jinx, Električni Orgazam, Let3, TBF and many others.
Publishing
Mars Music is the biggest music publisher in Slovenia. It represents the Sony Music Publishing catalogue and holds regional publishing rights for the publishing houses Megatrax, Focus and DeWolfe.
