In Slovenia there is no special award for the new media art sector. New media artists or collectives can be proposed as candidates for one of Slovene visual arts awards: Rihard Jakopič Award or OHO Group Award, an award for innovative creation Golden Bird Award), municipal cultural awards (e.g. Župančič Award of the City of Ljubljana), or the main national Prešeren Award and Prešeren Foundation Awards.
