The authors can join the Slovenian Authors' Society voluntary by signing the agreement. In order to support the members of the society to claim their rights, the samples of authorship contract and recommended price list can be accessed at their website. In 2007 the society had 706 full members, mostly writers, translators and university professors.
International and institutional collaboration
The society manages authorship rights in the territory of Slovenia only and collaborates with several Slovenian organisations and societies: Slovene Writers’ Association, Slovene Association of Literary Translators, Society of University Professors, Slovene Intellectual Property Office.
In 2003 the society co-founded Slovenian Organization of Authors and Publishers for Reproduction Rights (SAZOR).
The society is a provisional member of International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC).
