Established in [[established::1993]], the [[Stane Kregar Gallery]] presents the permanent collection of around 85 works by the leading Slovene artist [[Stane Kregar]] (1905–1973). He was a priest and a painter who graduated from the Prague Academy of Fine Arts in 1935, and later in 1936 presented his work on the exhibition in Jakopič Pavilijon and started at the same time to teach drawing at the classical grammar school in Ljubljana. His studies in Prague influenced his use of a modernistic language (Cubism). Throughout his career he used languages of different historic styles. The collection spans his work from Surrealism to Abstract art, presenting paintings, mosaics, frescoes, stained glass, and the liturgical clothes he created for Slovene churches. The gallery is part of the St Stanislav's Institution for Education and Culture of the Diocesan Classical Grammar School in Ljubljana-Šentvid.
