Originally launched in [[established::1951]] under the name Ljubljanski dnevnik [Ljubljana Daily], this newspaper was renamed [[''Dnevnik'']] in 1968. Its average daily print run is around 36,400 issues in 2013. According to the National Research on Readership, in 2013 ''Dnevnik'' was read daily by 107,000 people, giving it a 6.3 per cent daily reach.
