The [[Apiculture Museum, Veržej]] was established in 1997 by beekeeper Drago Šalamun. In the course of many years of collecting beekeeping exhibits, the owner also acquired an original apiary from Prekmurje. The collection of beekeeping exhibits is displayed in the original octagonal apiary, which dates from the early 20th century. The apiary has a skylight for ventilation and lighting and contains 96 hives, joined in units of six hives each. Some of the beekeeping exhibits are around 150 years old. Visitors can watch the activities in a beehive through glass sections.
