Ruins Matador (Žiga Predan, Peter Ličen), a band based in Ljubljana, plays rock music inspired by New Wave but they combine the genre with their own unique expressions, usually described as "schizo rock" or "flamenco noir".
In 2005 they published their first album The Girls Seem Happy the World Seems Dead. The band made a breakthrough in 2002 when they were introduced by Radio Študent (RŠ) on a Club Marathon tour around Slovenian clubs and venues.
