Publishing programme
Učila International Publishing House programme features acclaimed authors and winners of prestigious literary accolades, such as Gabriel García Márquez, Umberto Eco, and DBC Pierre.
Among their most successful business ventures is the launch of pocket edition books, a collection of affordable and popular titles called Žepna knjiga (Pocketbook).
Literary translation
As most of the works issued by Učila are translations, they cooperate both with established as well as young and up-and-coming translators. They have received several times EU Literary Translagion support of the Creative Europe Programme.
Felix Bookshops
Učila International Publishing House also runs an online bookstore and the chain of Felix Bookshops in major Slovene towns, which also afford space to regular readings and other events that promote literature. Učila are one of the few Slovene publisher with wide network of selling spots including gas stations, supermarkets, and newsstands.
