Amfiteater promotes new theoretical approaches to performance art research within the context of diverse media, cultures and arts, encouraging authors to tackle head-on the challenges generated by art in its present-day globalised and multicultural reality. The openness towards different standpoints and interdisciplinary approaches is provided by the editorial board and international advisory board, comprised of colleagues from various fields of research, who share numerous experiences in scholarly activities and artistic projects.
International dimension
The journal's second issue with the theme "Mechanisms of Control and Power" was edited by Barbara Sušec Michieli and published in collaboration with the Historiography Working Group of the International Federation for Theatre Research (FIRT/IFTR). The fourth issue of the journal was edited by Bojana Kunst and published in collaboration with the journal Maska, with the theme "Work and Collaboration Processes within Contemporary Performing Arts".
