{{Abstract|

Established in the early 1980s in central Ljubljana, [[Krka Gallery]] hosts a a regular programme of exhibitions (more than 300 up to 2007) and is one of the most important venues for contemporary visual arts, where painters, sculptors, designers and photographers meet to collaborate together. Before acquiring a permanent exhibition space Krka presented art from the 1970s onwards in the entrance hall of an office building in Novo mesto and organised a painting group called Krka Painters Meeting. Today Krka cultural events also take place at Otočec, in Ljutomer and at the spa towns of Dolenjske toplice and Šmarješke toplice.

Established in 1977 in Novo mesto (and later also in the early 1980s in Ljubljana), Krka Gallery hosts a regular programme of exhibitions and is a lively venue for contemporary visual arts, where painters, sculptors, designers, photographers and, occasionally, poets present their work. The programme is managed by the Art and Culture Association, founded by the employees of the Krka pharmaceutical company.

In Novo mesto, the Krka Gallery has come to bridge the cultural gap created due to the distance of Novo mesto from major Slovenian cultural centres. In 1977, the lobby of the Krka company building became a permanent exhibition space for exhibitions of painters, sculptors, designers, cartoonists and photographers. The Krka company also organises a painting colony called the Krkina srečanja slikarjev (Krka's Painters Meetings).

The events of the Krka Gallery also take place at the company's premises in Otočec and Ljutomer, as well as at the spa towns of Dolenjske toplice and Šmarješke toplice.

Krka Gallery in Ljubljana has made its way in the Slovenian art world in last years. With almost 200 exhibitions, it is positioned among the more prominent exhibition spaces in Slovenia.
