The Libris Publishing House was established in 1992 following the closure of Partizanska knjiga bookstore in Prešeren Square, Koper-Capodistria. Libris Bookshop in Piran-Pirano opened in 1997 and the Antiquariat Libris in Koper-Capodistria in 2000. The latter is located not far from the main Libris Koper bookshop and also functions as a venue for various events. In 2004 a new bookshop opened in the old town of Izola-Isola.
