The Metod Badjura Award for lifetime achievement, launched in 1995 by the Association of Slovene Film Workers, is the most important Slovene film award. It is bestowed annually on a selected Slovene film maker at the Festival of Slovenian Film. The award is named after the Slovene film director and cinematographer who began producing professional documentaries during the 1930s.
