The centre's staff work as volunteers running workshops in primary schools and also run an exchange of European volunteers (EVS programme), stimulating volunteer work among the young. The activities of Celje Youth Centre are funded by Celje Urban Municipality, the Office for Youth of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, the Employment Service of Slovenia, the EU Youth Programme National Commission, the Ministry of Culture and sponsors.
Since 2009 Celje Youth Centre is also a member of the M3C Multimedia Centres Network of Slovenia. Recently the centre has been engaged in the establishment of a Youth Hostel in Celje as it received funds from the Office for Youth of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology and the European Fund for Regional Development.
