The Beseda ('Word') is a collection of literary texts in Slovenian, collected for the research an deducational purposes and managed by the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language.

Currently the corpus consists of 112 literary works, mostly prose. It includes 98 original works also translations of 41 authors, published between 1858 and 1996 (50% of the corpus from the period after 1962).

The texts have been transferred into electronic form at the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language or come from archives and internet collections of various educational and research institutions (e.g. Departments of Slovenian Studies and Slavistics Library, University of Ljubljana) or individual contributors.
