Profile
The Krka Art Collection comprises art works by Slovene impressionist painters from the beginning of the 20th century, such as Rihard Jakopič, Matija Jama, Matej Sternen, Ivana Kobilca, and others; oil paintings by Vladimir Lamut; graphic art works by Božidar Jakac; works by Slovene artists from the period between the two world wars, such as France Mihelič; and some post-war graphics works. The collection also includes a number of works by contemporary artists from South Eastern Slovenia, such as Bogdan Borčić.
Presentation
The art works of the Krka Art Collection primary adorn the exhibition spaces in the company's headquarters in Novo mesto as well as in other company locations around Slovenia – the graphic part of the collection is mostly exhibited in company facilities at Bežigrajski dvor in Ljubljana and in Šentjernej.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Krka pharmaceutics company in 2004, a selection of the collection was presented in the National Gallery of Slovenia. In that time in addition to a monograph about Krka, the company published a monograph about the collection, entitled Krka, Art Collection [Krka, likovna zbirka].
