About the project

Festivals in slovenia 2012.jpgThe printed version of the calendar of Festivals in Slovenia in 2012 contains 141 festivals. Later on, in 2019, the festival number rose to 199. Check out the current annual festivalscape!

The poster Festivals in Slovenia 2012 featuring 141 festivals and the interactive infographic, which was a subject to change during the year, proved to offer a candid view of the festival landscape in Slovenia.

The interactive festival calendar 2013 included 161 festivals (13 of them were biennial).

In 2014 we are building the festivalscape again: up to June we have collected the dates of 115 festivals. The festivals are arranged by weeks.

The infographic can be complemented with the timeline of festivals, which reveals the dynamics of establishing new festivals in Slovenia (1946-2011).

The festivals are arranged by weeks and are still subject to change. Festival organisers are invited to send in their festival 2014 dates as soon as possible (culture@ljudmila.org).

The 2014 calendar includes those festivals from the Culture.si database that have already published their dates for the 2014 edition or provided information. Up to June we have collected the dates of 115 festivals.

FYI: the 2013 edition of the festival calendar included 161 festivals (13 of them were biennial).

You can complement the above infographic with the timeline of festivals, which reveals the dynamics of establishing new festivals in Slovenia (1946–2013).
