Arts & Culture
Cultural institutions include the Cultural and Recreational Centre Hrastnik (with the local cinema hall), the Youth Centre Hrastnik, the Anton Sovre Library Hrastnik.
The Rdeči revirji! - Red Beats! Festival produced by Vitkar Institute has been organised in the three main towns of the Zasavje since 2003. presenting annually a high-profile programme of contemporary arts, contemporary dance, theatre and street theatre, contemporary circus, puppetry, site-specific urban space interventions, story-telling evenings and concerts, exhibitions and film screenings.
The local branches of the Union of Cultural Societies of Slovenia (ZKDS) and the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia (JSKD) facilitate the amateur cultural activities.
