Savinov likovni salon ("Savin's art salon") is an exhibition venue located on the ground floor of the refurbished Renaissance-style building (a former home of opera and ballet composer Friderik Širca-Risto Savin) that houses the Savin Memorial Room and since 1992 also the Dore Klemenčič-Maj Gallery (three rooms). The gallery programme is run by Žalec Institute for Culture, Sport and Tourism.

Programme

As an exhibition space that mainly presents local artists Savinov likovni salon also prepares exhibitions of other national renowned artists as Emerik Bernard, Zmago Lenardič, Mirsad Begić, and Stojan Špegel. Occasionally Savinov likovni salon also presents solo exhibitions of the younger generation of Slovene artists such as of Mitja Ficko or Arjan Pregl. Annually it is also the podium of selected works created by pupils of schools from the region.
