Awards
The BigSEE Awards are presented to creators from the 19 countries making up the Southeast Europe region in the following categories: Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Tourism Design and Wood Design. Each year, awards in each category are given to a small number of exceptional grand prix winners and a somewhat larger pool of regular winners. Besides these awards, the National Design Awards are still presented for outstanding achievements in Slovenian design.
The BigSEE Visionary Award was also introduced in 2018 to commemorate the careers and bodies of work of the biggest creative names in the region. Visionary Award recipients to date include fashion industry icon Izet Curi, Bosnian design luminary Salih Teskeredžić, and urbanist and deputy mayor of Ljubljana Janez Koželj.
