History
Its founder was the Historical Society of Southern Primorska, Koper. In 1994 the Science and Research Centre of Koper (SRC Koper) was set up; it began to operate in 1996 and since then the Annales Publishing House is its infrastructural unit.
Mission
The Annales Publishing House mediates the scientific research achievements to wider public and is therefore indispensable at any level of scientific and research activity. Its publications are listed in the specialised international databases (citation index); especially the Annales Journal is quoted high.
It co-operates with the Historical Society of Southern Primorska, Koper and with numerous journals and institutions which foster international exchange. Its publications are in Slovene, Croat, Italian, English, Spanish and German, and most are complemented with a summary and an abstract in English, Italian, German and sometimes other relevant languages.
