The festival's programme is broad and combines theatrical events, music concerts, video projections, dance performances, and even afternoon shows for children. Attendance is free of charge. Since its beginning in [[established::1992]] the main criteria for inclusion in its programme has been variety, humorous content and a degree of summertime levity. Gradually Trnfest Festival has transformed itself into a sociable, easy going gathering, end of summer festivity with the programme withdrawn into the secondary plan.
