The theoretical courses and seminars are combined with training in practical dramaturgy, playwriting and screenwriting. The students participate in the regular theatre and film/TV production within the Academy.
Since 2008 the department publishes the Amfiteater Journal of Performing Arts Theory in collaboration with the Association of Theatre Critics and Researchers of Slovenia.
