Although founded by the Historical Society of Southern Primorska, Koper, Annales Publishing House became an infrastructural unit of the Science and Research Centre of Koper (SRC Koper) when the latter began to operate in 1996.
Annales Publishing House continues to cooperate with the Historical Society of Southern Primorska, Koper and also cooperates with numerous journals and institutions which foster international exchange. Its publications are in Slovenian, Croatian, Italian, English, Spanish, and German, and most are complemented with a summary and an abstract in English, Italian, German and sometimes other relevant languages. Annales publications are listed in the specialised international databases (citation indices); the Annales Journal is especially quoted high.
