===Annual ''ProstoRož Project''===
==Background==
+
First exhibition project ''ProstoRož'' happened in 2004 with a transformation of neglected atriums into attractive public spaces. One year later parks were rearranged in order to open new perspectives on the existing grounds. ProstoRož collective focused on the river Ljubljanica in 2007, offering selected areas to public use, while playgrounds were the main theme in 2008 with furniture installed in order to provide children creative territories for play. In 2009 a selected street was inhabited in cooperation with the [[Mladi levi Festival]].

The ProstoRož Association sprung into life as a spontaneous answer to the desire to explore and understand open city space. Its main goal is to bring the state and meaning of public space to general attention through small interventions, exhibitions, lectures and public discussions. The project often addresses neglected, remote areas, which are not put to any use, but could be transformed into dynamic and friendly spaces. Interventions are not mere artistic installations in public areas but also in-depth searching for new city planning options of space use. In their projects experts from various fields of spatial planning, architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, nature conservation, cultural heritage and tourism are involved.
