Each year around 20 choirs compete for gold, silver and bronze plaque and diplomas at four competition concerts, which are followed by the final concert by the best choirs. The obligatory programme for participants includes a folk song, or an arrangement of it, plus two original choral compositions. Since 2004 the competition has been followed by a programme entitled 'A Totally Different Song', which features innovative approaches to singing. |
