The MKDC venue (originally called Youth Cultural Work Centre) was established in the late 1980s with a focus on the heavy metal scene, today the MKDC Postojna also includes jazz concerts in its programme. It co-organises the Trnje Festival in partnership with Pivka House of Culture, and participates as one of the venues of Klubski maraton (Radio Študent). In 1997 Postojna Youth Centre launched Zmaj 'ma mlade Festival, lively late Summer youth and cultural festival that takes place at various venues across the town.
