Since 2007, Plesna izba - Maribor Dance Room organises Contemporary dance Platform [Platforma sodobnega plesa]. It derives from the Young Dancers' Festival, which grew out of the need for continual possibilities for presentation of younger Slovene dance makers and is closely linked to the education programmes of Plesna izba Maribor. The festival was warmly welcomed and appreciated by Slovene critics.
