The Representation office the European Commission in Slovenia is a link in the communication process between the Commission and EU citizens, in this case Slovene citizens. The aim is to open the communication channels in a broader manner, building on active dialogue. The office also disposes of information about the phasing of EU funds and information concerning important current issues like the introduction of the Euro in 2007, further rounds of EU enlargement and the implementation of the Lisbon Strategy.

In 2004 the Representation established the Europe Centre in order to make thorough information on the EU widely accessible to the general public. There are also two information offices related to EU cultural funds: for audio-visual media support see Media Desk Slovenia, for Culture programme support consult the Cultural Contact Point Slovenia.
