Tramal Films is a film production house that was established in 2009. Led by the producer Miha Černec, also the head of Staragara, Tramal has quite a diverse output and has produced feature documentaries, animated films, short films and is currently producing a musical. For the latter, it has acquired support from the Creative Europe programme

Films, screenings and awards

Tramal's most noted work is the documentary Boj Za (A Fight For), which covers the protests – enacted during the high times of the global Occupy movement – in front of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange. Directed by Siniša Gačić and released in 2014, the film was recognised at the Festival of Slovenian Film as the best feature film of the year and given the Vesna Award. Later it was screened at the Doku Fest in Prizren, the Cleveland International Film Festival (US), the Undependence Film Festival (UK) and elsewhere as well.

Other works include a short film titled Hundred dogs, directed by the renowned director Jan Cvitkovič, a short animation directed by Katarina Nikolov and a documentary on blindness. The director of the upcoming musical is Boban Skarlić.
