Established in 2000, Gustav Film is one of the most important executive film production companies in Slovenia, with a dynamic and flexible team and a large network of partners in Slovenia and around Europe.

    Feature films and documentaries production

Past productions have included the feature films Paris.love (2006) by Boris Petković and the award-winning Teah (2007) by Hanna A.W. Slak, a documentary A Film in Front of the Altar by Metod Pevec (2006) and a film by Igor Šterk 9:06 (2009).

Up to 2014 Gustav Film has produced five films by Vlado Škafar: his Letter to a Child (2008), a renowned documentary, shown at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam), Peterka - the Year of Decision (2002) which was awarded at the Milano Festival of Sport Films in 2004, "Dad" (2010) shown in Venice, Tallin and Göteborg, A Girl and a Tree(2012) shown in Marseille, and his most recent creation Mama (2014).

Gustav Film co-produced the long-features Koko i duhovi (2011) and the film Adria Blues (2013) which got an invitation to a number of international festivals (Berlinale, Karlovy Vary, Sarajevo Film Festival, festivals in Pula, Bitola, Montpellier, Skopje, Prague). The recently co-produced Zvizdan [The High Sun] (2015) by the Croatian director Dalibor Matanić won the Prix du Jury at the Cannes' official selection's programme Un Certain Regard.

    Equipment rentals

Gustav Film has also supported over a dozen feature films and some short films with its equipment and know-how. Along with equipment rentals it offers location search, logistics, organisation, catering, transport, a production office, and editing (Avid Xpress; online editing in Betacam SP, DV, DVCPRO, DVCAM), plus transcription of the formats Betacam SP, DV, DVCPRO, DVCAM, DVD, VHS, and S-VHS.

    Small-scale stage production

Gustav Film also engaged in theatre production through the development of small-scale stage performances (for example, Defending The Caveman by Rob Becker) and the marketing of international stage shows. In the summer it organises a festival of small-scale performances at Ljubljana Castle called Comedy under the Stars.
