A coproduction workshop organised by the Slovenian Film Centre in collaboration with French Institute in Slovenia and Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée, with the two projects presented: "Horses - Konji" directed by Jernej Kastelec and produced by Bela Film, Ida Weiss, and "The Happiest Day - Najsrečnejši dan" directed by Sonja Prosenc and produced by Monoo, Rok Sečen. The creators will be present at the workshop.

A projection of "Snatched from the Source - Zajeti v izviru: Slovenski otroci Lebensborna", a documentary film about last living Slovenian victims of the Nazi racial experiment: Ingrid von Oelhafen, Hay Henry Hayder, Franc Zagožen, and Ivan Acman. After the projection, there will be a talk with the director Maja Weiss, the writer Nataša Konc Lorenzutti and professor Marija Wakounig from the University of Vienna. In collaboration with Institut für Osteuropäische Geschichte der Universität Wien and Bela Film.

Production
Bela Film's inaugural documentary Cesta bratstva in enotnosti [The Road of Fraternity and Unity] (1999), directed by Maja Weiss, received an official nomination for the Silver Wolf Award at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam 1999 and participated in more than 20 international film festivals. The company's next documentary, Ghost Riders In The Sky, was directed by Harry Rag in co-production with Taris Film Productions of Solingen, Germany.
Then in 2000 Bela Film produced Nuba – čisti ljudje [Nuba – Pure People] directed by Tomo Križnar and Maja Weiss. The same year saw the release of Steklarski Blues [Glazier Blues], a documentary about workers in a Hrastnik glass factory directed by Harry Rag. This film participated in more than 30 international film festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, Sheffield, and Leipzig.

In 2002 Bela Film released its first full-length feature film, Varuh na meji [Guardian of the Frontier], directed by Maja Weiss. This film was released at the Berlinale 2002, where it received the Manfred Salzgeber Award for the Most Innovative European Film, followed by a nomination for the Fassbinder Award for the Best European First Feature Film. The film participated in more than 60 international film festivals.
In 2004 the short features Child in Time and Under Prešeren's Head were produced, and 2006 saw the release of the short documentary Hočem osvojiti svet [I Want to Conquer the World], a film portrait of the actress Marija Vera, aired on Radio-Television Slovenia. Also in 2006, the film Hudičeva kolonija [In Devil's Colony], directed by Boris Petković, was shot in a small town Tichilesti in Romania. Bela Film's recent production Instalacija ljubezni [Installation of Love], directed by Maja Weiss, is a co-production with Taris Filmproduktion of Solingen, Germany, and Iluzija from Ljubljana.
In 2010 the Bela Film produced the TV documentary Kam je izginil delavski razred? [Where has the Working Class Gone?] in co-production with Radio-Television Slovenia, with is first appearance at the 13th edition of the Festival of Slovenian Film. The film was also aired as the "Documentary of the Month" on Slovene public television in October 2010.
In 2012 the Bela Film released Feed Me With Your Words [Nahrani me z besedami] in Boy, Bloodbrother of Death 2 [Fant, pobratim smrti 2]. The Champagne Twist [Šampanjski twist] is in production in 2014.
