The Schwentner Award has been conferred annually since the 1980s by the Association of Book Publishers of the Chamber of Publishing, Bookselling, Graphic Industry, Radio and TV Media (GZS-ZKGM) for lifetime achievements in the field of publishing. The ceremony takes place during the annual Slovene Book Fair. The award was named after Lavoslav Schwentner (1856–1952), the first contemporary Slovene publisher.

In recent years the award has been bestowed to Aleš Berger, Slavko Pregl, Ivan Bizjak, Franc Bole, Milan Matos, and Niko Grafenauer.
