Metamorphoses 3°: Rhetoric by Bara Kolenc and Atej Tutta, produced by KUD Samosvoj Cultural Association, and co-produced by Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture, KUD Pozitiv Cultural Association and Plesna izba - Maribor Dance Room, at the 53rd Theatertreffen
Background
It began by issuing a bulletin which subsequently evolved into the 'wall' newspaper (in poster format), and subsequently organised various rock music workshops and dance and theatre activities. Its first major project was the educational new media project Pozitiv - studying the media. In 1999–2000 KUD Pozitiv began working internationally with its film and video project Z-FILM and stage show Dargop-The Bunk-bed Spirit.
In 2000, after the group had registered as a non-profit cultural and artistic association, its activities began to surpass the borders of amateur and youth culture, and many of its former student members - now professional artists in their own right - produced some significant projects.
National and international cooperations
KUD Pozitiv has at its disposal a space for rehearsal and experiments called Kreatorij DIC, which was presented at the international summer school at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana.
In 2010 KUD Pozitiv participated at the European Forum Capacity, Building for Intercultural Dialogue in Brussels where they presented their recent project Divided God, which deals with the intercultural dialogue, especially on religion. In 2009–2011 the leading project was Being [Biti], which addressed issues like quality of life and sustainable solutions.
The association collaborates with other student groups and with many Slovene and international cultural organisations, either as producer or as co-producer. Some projects (Nomansland, Theatre and Move, Pozitiv digital. Petrovaradin tribe) are presented at the group's impressive website.
