University of Nova Gorica
Undergraduate programmes at the University of Nova Gorica are organised in six schools: the School of Viticulture and Enology; the School of Engineering and Management; the School of Arts; the School of Environmental Sciences; the School of Applied Sciences; and the School of Humanities. The graduate school offers doctoral study programmes in the fields of Economics and Techniques for the Conservation of the Architectural and Environmental Heritage; Environmental Sciences; Intercultural Studies – Comparative Studies of Ideas and Cultures; Karstology; Linguistics; Physics; and Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology.
The university's various laboratories, centres, and the Research Centre for Humanities are hubs of lively research activity.
International cooperation
The University of Nova Gorica co-founded the European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR) and the International University Institute for European Studies (IUIES) in Gorizia, Italy.
It is a member of international academic networks in Argentina, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Montenegro, China, Croatia, France, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kosovo, Serbia, the United Kingdom, Burkina Faso, and the United States of America.
It is also the co-founder of the International University Institute for European Studies (IUIES) in Gorizia, the Primorska Technology Park in Šempeter pri Gorici, and the Slovenian Scientific Institute in Vienna.
