The Grubelnik Collection of antiques was gathered by Alojz Grubelnik during his field inspections of Ribnica na Pohorjuthe and the Pohorje area between the 1970s and the present. About 4,000 objects of an ethnological nature originate from the environs of Ribnica na Pohorju (Janževski Vrh, Orlica, Hudi Kot, Josipdol, Lehen na Pohorju) and bear witness to the way of life in the Pohorje from the early 20th century until World War II, the oldest being 400 years old. The collection has been open to the general public since 1987, when a wooden building in the form of a treasure-chamber was constructed for it.
Collection
The collection is heterogeneous and consists of musical instruments, blacksmith tools, animal-drawn tools, skis, typewriters, telephones, cameras, over 60 irons, as well as books, paintings, and religious items. Special attention is given to the collection of glass products from Pohorje glassworks and an extensive shoemaker's collection.
